This is my blog.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m an Anti-abuse Engineer on Google&#8217;s Search Quality Team, trying to make the web a little bit better place for searchers and webmasters.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I work at Google, on the Search Quality team. Sometimes I write for the Webmaster Central Blog (<a href=\"http:\/\/googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com\/2008\/09\/keeping-comment-spam-off-your-site-and.html\">for example, this post here<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Even though I work for Google you shouldn&#8217;t take anything here to be official Google policy or communication, this is my personal site. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonmorrison.net\/content\/standard-disclaimer\/\">standard disclaimers apply<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m originally from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jason-morrison\/tags\/cleveland\/\">Cleveland, Ohio<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I believe that if something is worth doing, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonmorrison.net\/content\/2008\/hey-internet-help-us-name-our-child\/\">it&#8217;s worth creating a spreadsheet<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If something is worth doing and you&#8217;re planning on doing it more than a few times, though, you should create <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mealographer.com\">a database and a web app<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I went to college at Ohio Wesleyan University, where I majored in journalism and minored in computer science and studio art. I was online editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/transcript.owu.edu\/\">The Transcript<\/a> and station manager for WSLN.<\/li>\n<li>I got my masters in <a href=\"http:\/\/iakm.kent.edu\/\">information architecture and knowledge management at Kent State University<\/a>. While there I did research on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jasonmorrison.net\/content\/2007\/tagging-and-searching-search-retrieval-effectiveness-of-folkonsomies-on-the-world-wide-web\/\">how well tagging systems and folksonomies support information retrieval<\/a>.
