Panoramio is yet another photo sharing site like Flickr. What sets them apart is their integration with Google Earth. As you pan around the globe, photos from Panoramio users will appear in as icons. The also support tagging and some social networking features as any Web2.0 site should.

I’ve uploaded some photos, you can see my page here. I’m a little disappointed that I don’t see an easy way to embed my photostream directly into a blog post.

Even more interestingly, you can see my photos in Google Maps or (if you have it installed) on Google Earth.

3D and Sculpture Work, 2000-2001

Here are a few things I made in a 3D Design course and Sculpture I at OWU, including a couple of cast bronze pieces.

Brecksville Metropark Series

These pieces were completed Jan-Feb 2001, my senior year at OWU. For source material I used photographs I’ve taken over the years in Brecksville Reservation, part of the Cleveland Metroparks and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Many of these were attempts to reconcile stone textures with water surfaces, though I also played with colors to try to make them more satisfying on their own.

Religious imagery series

Part of a series I did junior year at Ohio Wesleyan University. The pieces are computer generated with photos of churches and religious statuary as source material.
